biddingfortravel's host board has been the victim for hackers. The site has been down part of the time the last couple of weeks, and lost much of its data at least temporarily, some permanently.
Even before the attack, in my opinion their competitor www.betterbidding.com was a superior site of the same type, especially in the quality and courteousness of the bidding help from the moderators and other posters, and its relative lack of obnoxious hucksterism as opposed to biddingfortravel. It's presence is especially important now that biddingfortravel is crippled.
Obviously, you will learn more if you check the winning bids at both sites. Although I have been no fan of the biddingfortravel site, particularly of their moderator "help," I deplore the despicable crime that has been committed against their host board (biddingfortravel was not necessarily even the target.) I hope they get back on their feet soon, improve where they have been weak, and that the perpetrator of this crime is found, convicted and imprisoned for a long time.
