Premium Las Vegas Restaurants

I am going with some friends ti LV in late July. We wanted to go somewhere really nice for dinner on Saturday night. I have thought about Picasso or Renoir, but both receive mixed reviews. Does anyone have any suggestions on these two or any other outstanding Las Vegas restaurants?

There are several reviews of Picasso here in the archives. Mine was one of the mixed ones...I'd give it a 10 on atmosphere/service/presentation, 8 on food, 6 on value.

HI:

Grappling with the same issue myself... there have been some rave reviews of Commanders Palace in the Aladdin. Not sure how it stacks up to the "real" one in New Orleans.

You might want to check www.a2zlasvegas.com

We went to Delmonico's in the Venetian and loved it. The steaks and seafood were excellent - if you go, book your reservations well in advance, as we could only get a 9:30pm reservation. By far, the best steaks you can find in Vegas right now, and beautiful fresh creative seafood dishes.

Enjoy!

Everyone has an opinion - so here's mine: We really like the Palm Restaurant (in the Forum shops between Caesars & Mirago), we like Spagos (inside versus the outside), Picasso is good, as well. Another really nice place is at the top of Rio's - I think the name is the Voodoo Lounge & Restaurant - excellent food and a nice patio to see all of LV. We also had a very nice/elegant meal at the Monte Carlo - can't remember the name of the restaurant, but it's the expensive one over to the right. Very nice. (we didn't go to these all at once, we go to Las Vegas fairly regularly - didn't want everyone to think we were pigs that did nothing but eat during our trip there - although, it would have been alot cheaper than the gambling, now that I think about it......)

Picasso is my all-time favorite! Definitely a special occasion place. I think the place referred to at the Monte Carlo is Andre's. Always at the top of the Zagat list. Very romantic. Another good choice would be the Top of the World restaurant at the Stratosphere. Rather pricey but the view is outstanding! Rotating restaurant with view of the entire city! Go at sunset to see the lights come up.

Just had dinner last Friday at Circo in Bellagio. It was one of the most fantastic meals I've had in quite some time. The wine list is quite impressive, the food is delicious and exquisitely prepared, service is attentive but not overbearing (there when you need it) and a great value ($215 for two including three courses, wine, taxes and tip!). Considering that this was a two hour meal, right on the window watching the fountains, in a very nice place, with good company, it was the same as going to a show!

Drai's. Period.

The lounge area (where, if you choose, you can have dessert and coffee after dinner instead of at your table) is complete with red velvet-type fabric on the pillows, cheetah print on the couch, a wall full of books, sexy artwork, and a fireplace full of candles. The rest of the place has more candles and lots of potted palm trees. Walls are cream-color and dark wood with some wood beams on the
ceiling.

Very glam/swank feeling. You feel like you walked onto a movie set. All this and great food and service too.

One of our favorite places in town.

If you want ambiance, you want Drai's.

Go figure. We just got back from Vegas and ate at Circo definitly OK. The waiter was so annoying. Picasso's was fabulous and the srevice was superb. Don't know about Renoir but saw it at the Mirage and it looked very nice.
