Portland (Oregon) Restaurants

Looking for a nice place in the downtown area. We like hip, trendy, independent type places. Thinking Pearl District may be a good choice. Maybe Bluehour?

Probably do something more casual the next night. Thinking Accuardi's pizza.

Any thoughts on these or other sugggestions? Thanks in advance.

Typhoon's is a great place for Thai food. It's located in the downtown area and offers jazz music on many evenings.

If you enjoy jazz music, make sure to check out JimmyMac's for a trendy jazz scene.

The Pearl District has so many great trendy restaurants to choose from. It's hard to choose just one!

Thanks Sarah. For a Sat or Sun night, will we need reservations for a place in the Pearl District? We're sort of wrestling with booking before we leave or just winging it. Thanks.

Brian - I'd definitely think about booking ahead especially for Saturday night. The Pearl District is very popular and seems to attract a lot of diners and gallery shoppers on all evenings.

While the restaurant choices are limited, NW 23rd is another fun trendy neighborhood to do some afternoon shopping.
