Pointe Hilton Squaw Peak Resort?

We are thinking about staying at the Pointe Hilton Squaw Peak Resort because of the great pool. But we're wondering if we will wish that we had stayed in Scottsdale instead? It sounds like it is a pretty close drive to get to downtown Scottsdale for dinner/shopping...am I right? Otherwise, we are considering staying at the Doubletree Paradise Valley because of the better location. Any suggestions?

Squaw peak is a really nice resort. due to the location, closer to Phoenix you probably got a pretty good rate as well.
You are correct, Scottsdale is an easy drive away. But if you want Scottsdale, try the Princess or the Boulders with the Boulders being the best.

Point Hilton has the best pool. Scottsdale isn't too far of a drive. The Boulders isn't in Scottsdale either. It's in Carefree and also involves a drive to Scottsdale. The Princess is in Scottsdale, but at the far far north end. The Doubletree has a better location. If you want Scottsdale also look into the Millenium and the Sunburst Resort.

If you're travelling with kids, the Pointe Hilton has a lot more for them to do than the Doubletree. The Doubletree seems like a more adult-oriented, business-travel type resort. The Pointe Hilton is not far at all from Scottsdale--maybe 10-15 minutes. The Scottsdale Princess is about a 15-20 minute drive north of Scottsdale and the Boulders is even farther than that. Let me know if you have any other questions. We travel to Phoenix all the time.

How does this compare to the Hilton Scottsdale?
