Poconos Outdoor Attractions
Anybody recommend a good site online to find attractions and things to do in the Pocono Mountain area of Pennsylvania? We have two weeks to play with; any suggestions for other places in Pennsylavania would be appreciated. We enjoy hiking, swimming, shows, etc.
Thanks for the suggestions for state parks to camp in; now we have to make some decisions

The Appalachian Trail runs through the area - try that for some hiking. For swimming if you have kids look into Shawnee Place. Rent a canoe on the Delaware? (Kittatiny is a local comapny for that) As for near by areas that aren't 9 hours away ;-) try Lancaster and PA Dutch country.

There is a nice hiking trail around Bushkill Falls, and some nice short hikes in Hickory Run SP. Farther away, but I think well worth the drive is the hike around all the waterfalls in Ricketts Glen SP.
In the summer, hit CamelBeach water park.
Nearby, go to the outlets in Tannersville.
Two weeks sort of seems long for the Poconos.

I'll second Ricketts Glen beautiful series of waterfalls, and some old growth forest, pretty big hemlocks grow along Kithcen Creek between Watersmeet and Hwy 118.

Jim Thorpe is a great little place. There's a long bike path that runs between the railroad tracks and the Lehigh Gorge. You can rent bikes in town and they'll take you to the trail or you can just get there yourselves. Beltzville is also nice - huge lake, sand beach and hiking trails. Hickory Run State Park is nice too.
