Please compare these 3 Kennebunkport inns
Namely the Captains Jefferds, Fairfield and Lord. Somewhat difficult to get a real sense of the differences by looking at the various websites. I'd be grateful if people who know all three would kindly compare and contrast. What we're looking for is good privacy and quiet (we prefer inns to B&B's for that reason), fine, spacious accommodations, good bathrooms, good breakfasts, pleasant surroundings, etc. I know that all three are close to each other, but is one likely to be more quiet? Do they have creaky floor boards (as some terrific older places do)? Which has a "fresher" feel? Which rooms are more commodious and have good updated bathrooms? Etc.
Does anyone know how those three compare to Black Point Inn?
Much appreciate your feedback.

Fairfield is known for it's great breakfasts...and is in a very quiet area.
Lord is the only one of the 3 that gets 4 stars from AAA, (the others get 3 stars). It's noted for fine furnishings and elegant decor, pets are allowed.

Thanks for replies.
Janiekins: How were the breakfasts at Capt Lord? (I believe I read on TripAdvisor that some people don't enjoy the everyone-at-the-same-table kind of thing;I think we may not either.) How did you happen to choose that inn over Jefferds, say? Is Capt Lord very quiet? (What room do you like best?)
Thanks!!

White Barn Inn-- which is where we'd ideally like to stay-- turns out to be more expensive than we want to spring for. And Black Point Inn (if I'm remembering the name correctly) is closed until June. Therefore I'm exploring the possibility of staying at one of the B&B's, in part because my sense is that sometimes those terms (inn/B&B) are used rather loosely. I'm thinking that perhaps one of those places may fit the bill for us.

Too bad Black Point Inn is closed. Check out this place-it is south of Portland and north of Ogunquit.

We have stayed at the White Barn Inn a number of times, and also their sister properties, the Beach House and the Breakwater Inn. At the BH we love the room on the third floor (elevator) which has a view of the ocean across the street. You can have breakfast at all three at your own table, but it is buffet style during certain hours.

The Breakwater has their own spa next door.
