Please can people be specific when writing their messge titles?

I have already posted this message on the Europe forum (though bizarrely Fodors chose to remove it...) but please, please, please don't post messages with vague titles like "I have a question???" or "What do you recommend?" when the post is actually about something really specific.

We all want to be helpful and do our best (as well as having a bit of fun!) but it's really annoying to think you might be able to help and then not be able to at all.

Sorry to gripe but you know how it is sometimes!

You're right, Marion. I'm guessing that this happens for the first time posters. They probably identify a particular region when they initiate the post, thinking that it'll reference that afterwards. That's what happened to me the first time. When they come back looking for answers, they really feel dumb.

Obviously you all haven't read the "Please include name of city or state in your title" thread that got like 100 responses. search for it and pull it up if you like...

I still contend that it's typically the first time posters that don't do that.

In the grand scheme of things, does it really MATTER? I think some of you need to quit sweating the small stuff...

I really don't understand what your headline has to do with your message, Marion.

I agree. We could all be a lot more helpful to people if they would be more descriptive in their message titles.

I don't think it is so "bizarre" that Fodors chose to remove your trying to control their site and the way people post on it.
IF it bothers you,Marion, take a pill and watch some television.Everybody manages fine here with stupid postings and all.No need to feel the pressure of trying to keep things the way YOU like them.
And someone said it so well,
Does it really matter?

Perhaps the bigger question is....why is xx dragging up old posts? This one is 6 months old; a few days ago, I saw a 5 year old post brought back to life. What's up, besides school being out for summer?
