Place for a family reunion

My family is planning a family reunion in the Seattle area in June of '09 and I am looking for some suggestions on resorts that we could stay at. We will have two 86 year olds and a 7 year old and many people in between. We had looked into the San Juan islands, but all of the places there get pretty bad ratings on trip advisor.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks so much for your advice!

What about the Leavenworth/Wenatchee area? It is beautiful and there is a variety of activities for people to do.

In case you don't know, summer in Western Washington doesn't get going until after July 4.

So, whereas I might suggest the Olympic National Park, I must second mms suggestion for east of the Cascade Mountains where things warm up earlier.

In Winthrop, check out Sun Mountain Lodge and whether one of the log houses at Wolf Ridge Resort would be to your liking.

Gosh, I can't really think of any resort actually IN the Seattle area. How close to Seattle does it need to be?

Thanks for the question. We were thinking about a 2 hour or so drive from the Seattle area.
