Pittsburgh restaurants near Magee Women's Hospital
My brother and I are driving to Pittsburgh Saturday morning, visiting Mom after her surgery, then driving back home that evening.
Does anyone know the area well enough to recommend a local place to eat (Mom and Pop type place versus big chain).

You will be in the neighborhood known as Oakland. If you head for Craig Street, you will find several good possibities. (These are sit-down restuarants with waiter service. There are also lots of pizza/counter service places in Oakland)
Craig Street has:
Ali Baba (middle eastern)
Lucca (northern italian, steaks)
Star of India (indian)
and more...
There is also a microbrewery called Pittsburg Cafe on Meyran Ave.
