Phoenix Help Needed - Please

We will be celebrating our 18th wedding anniversity in Phoenix. Are there any romantic but casual restaurants, perhaps southwestern or mexican / cuban. We do not like upscale fancy but do appreciate well made, resonably priced food in a decent atmosphere.

Thanks for your help,

Marty

Marty,

Try The Havana Grill for cuban food. The service can be spotty but the food is usually good.

I would recommend Z Tejas, there are couple of them in the area.......Shea and Tatum is the Phoenix one. Not especially romantic, but good southwestern food and casual. Another might be Sam's Cafe, one in Arizona Center, downtown and another on Scottsdale Road, south of Shea.

I got food poisoning at the Z Tejas near Shea and Tatus but I do agree with Sam's Cafe as a good choice. Another good restaurant is the Coyote Grill at Scottsdale Rd and Bell.

Los Olivos in Old Town Scottsdale. Has been there over 50 yrs. Still run by the Corral family. It was always the first place my relatives wanted to go when they came out.
