Phoenix - B&B Near Convention Center?

We will be in Phoenix for one week and would like to stay at a B&B within walking distance of the Convention Center. Any recommendations? Any areas to avoid? Thank you.

I don't believe this is possible. I think I recently read an article about the only B&B in Phoenix (it was some city in the Phoenix area at least). If there are more than the one, I don't believe there are any in the convention center area. You will have to book one of the high rise hotels

Thank you for your quick response. Just to clarify my first post - our definition of walking distance is about 20 to 25 blocks. I have seen an ad for a B&B that appears to be about 15 blocks north of the Convention Center. Is this an 'ok' part of town to be walking alone.

I think if you walk down Central Ave, then you should be ok.

I am siting in a hotel room across from the convention center right now. Can't say much about safety, but some of that walk is pretty darn boring, bordering on ugly.

if you are going after the end of this month, then the light rail system will be running and you might use it
