I live three blocks from Eastern State Pen and I highly recommend, for this age bracket, the Haunted House they throw each year. It begins in September. It is ranked one of the best haunted houses in the US. The prices may seem a bit much, but it is worth it! I have been and had a blast each time. http://www.easternstate.org/halloween/
