Per Capita, which state has the most men with mullets?

Oh how I love a man in a mullet. I'm thinking I can find Mr. Right down south, in Alabama or Mississippi, but any help that you travellers can give me would be appreciated!

I was just in Louisville, KY for a week and didn't see even one mullet. Of course, Louisville is very different from the rest of the state (neither really claims the other). I did see several mullets in Nashville, however, even downtown. Nice.

Mullet is a haircut. Short in the front, long in the back. Put another way, (the front says business, the back says party.)

On a permanent basis Florida. However, per capita, any town that is hosting NASCAR, temporarily gets a boost in its Mullet population

Utah is right up there for mullet wearing men. The scary thing is, a huge number of women still wear permed mullets. AHhrrrggg!!!

Billy Ray will be appearing exclusively this weekend at the Shady Hills Retirement home in Ocala, Florida.

Says Billy Ray, "I'm very excited to be working in front one of the best and most vocal crowds in the industry. My opening act, Chuckles the Clown, and I have appeared together before and Chuckles really knows how to get the audience in the right frame of mind to party." First show is 2:00 p.m. with a Dinner Show at 4:45.

Billy Ray will have available his latest release, "Achy Breaky Heart, the Dance Remix." Copies are available from the trunk of his car or whenever Billy Ray appears in concert.

I am appalled that Central Pennsylvania has been overlooked as a source of mullet-mania.

As James Carville noted during the 1992 election, outside of Pittsburgh and Philadelphia, the state is cultural equivalent of Alabama without balck people.

Don't you dare ignore Central Pa. for mullets!

While many Southern states have high per capita mullets, New Jersey wins hands down. The other bonus from the Jersey mullets are the addition of a wife beater undershirt resplendent with gold necklace. Awesome! And where else but New Jersey can you still find acid-washed clothing! Too cool!

I never heard the word "mullet" used until recently....I always considered this the "Jersey hairdo".

Head transplant: I gotta know - what's a wife beater undershirt? Is it the same as the politically incorrect "Dago Tee"?

"Wife beater" is just as politically incorrect (though I think it's funnier). Yup, they are the same thing.

I am ashamed to say it, but my own state of Georgia has a fair share of mullet men.

For a real mullet extravaganza, visit:

OH, and for those inquiring about Billy Ray Cyrus, He can be seen on PAX TV in his own show "Doc".

I've never been able to bring myself to watch. And never will. I only pray he does not portray a singing surgeon.

Heard mullet for the first time a couple of years ago too...we have always called that haircut the "shlong" short...but long-discuss.
