Pearl Harbor Tour Help

Heading to Oahu in March and need to check Pearl Harbor off the bucket list. Myself, my wife and our 3 kids ranging in age from 14-20. There are a ton of different tour options and not sure what is the best route to go or if we should just book right through the park? I dont want to say money is no object but I will say we are only coming here to do this once so do want to make sure we do it right. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I can’t really recommend which way to go: on your own or a tour. We did a tour since we did not have a car to get out to PH. We left the tour in downtown and went to Iolani Palace on our own. Highly recommend IP.

Make sure to include a tour of the USS Missouri too. It is at PH

In reading the Oahu forum daily over on Trip Advisor, seems most recommend to do it on your own. Do you have a car? Are you staying in Waikiki?

Having never actually been to Pearl Harbor, I have no opinion on tour or not. If you have a vehicle and are interested in WWII you may also be interested in the "Punchbowl" aka National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific (which I have been to).

If you just need tranportation have a look at Charley's which has minvans large enough for your group at flat rates.
