passport problems

Is anyone else having severe problems receiving a new passport?? Applied in February and still have not received ours. Mine went to Charleston and my husband's went to Houston. Cannot even access the Houston office for an appointment. What has worked for you guys?

Yes, after posting my message...beginning a phone barrage of our Congressman. Fortunately he is a local man. Hope it works! Last info. from NPIC hotline was that my husband's birth certificate was not correct even though it had been okayed by Passport office at local airport post office. Drove 2 hours to Court House in neighboring county to retrieve new B.C. arrrggghhhh

Yes... I am still waiting on 3 passports that were applied for in Feb. - our travel date is June 28th so they will not "do" anything to assist us till it is 2 weeks out - but I am getting nervous.

Take my advice and immediately contact your U.S. Congressman's home office. My husband did today and we should receive our passports by no later than Monday. Possibly tomorrow. They have a direct line to all the regional NPIC offices and I guarantee you they get the job done!!! Don't go through the stress we have waiting until 2 weeks out from June 28. Tis not worth it. You have too many other things to get done than to worry about this.
