Parking for Northwest at DTW
I have been traveling out of DTW for 12 years and lately my usual "Airport Parking" just isn't cutting it. I like Airport Parking - it's cheap, I don't have to load my luggage, and I very rarely have to wait for the shuttle. However, it is taking longer and longer to park and get to the airport. This morning it took almost 25 mins from the time that I got off of 94 to the time I was at the terminal - AT the terminal, not checking in my bags.
Airport Parking is putting the Northwest fliers further and further out in the back lots - it takes quite awhile to get to the back lot, try to find a spot, then you have to wait for the other fliers that are trying to also get a ride.
Parking at the Northwest Terminal garage is $18 per day, which I think is outragious - the companies that reimburse me for parking believe it is outrageous as well.
I've tried to park in "the big blue" but had to wait waaay to long for a shuttle to show up.
So, does anyone have an alternative? I would appreciate any help!

seriously. have you gone to www.flyertalk.com and asked this question there on the northwest forum. there are lots of dedicated northwest flyers there who may have more experience and the answers you seek.

What about US Park on Middlebelt? I've never used them, but I know many people do. Here's the info:
I-94 Exit, 198 Middlebelt Road, turn South (east bound right turn) (west bound left turn). U.S. Park is 1/2 mile on the left (East) side.
