Park City skiing first Dec. week

Ski reports are discouraging for this area.

Any prospects for significant snow in next two weeks.

Have reservations etc made. This could be trouble??

Thanks.

Can you change your reservations? It looks like it's awfully warm there. High in the 50s today. It's hard to make snow (if they make snow) when it's that warm.

Head to Summit County, Co. High today 34 and making snow everyday.

Jimandlinda,

I live in Park City. We are supposed to have some snow on Thanksgiving morning in the mountains and a larger, more significant storm on Sunday & Monday.

Our weather has been going back and forth between fall and winter for the last month, which is actually typical for this time of year. Our ski seaon is a bit later than the east coast. It really starts to snow a lot in mid-Dec, normally. Biggest snowfall months are actually March and April. Makes our spring skiing great!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Jimandlinda,

In case you see this, Park City area ski resorts just had 16" of new snow last night. More on the way before the current, slow-moving storm is over.

I think you will have some good skiing next week!

Excellent!!!

From not much to a good base in two days. I understand that a number of folks dropped from the session because of the lack of snow. Their bad!!

Now I am really looking forward to skiing!!

Jimandlinda,

People have been skiing waist deep powder yesterday. Check out the ski area's web sites for current totals.

Have fun!
