OK, the cheapest I have found for the Stein Erikson Lodge is $175 a night. I can get the Park Regency for a whole week for $230 for a whole week. What do ya'll think?

I've been up to Westgate to their spa which was very nice! I think it would be a nice place to stay. But, if you can get a decent rate at Stein Erickson I would definitely take it! Its right in the Deer Valley resort which is a wonderful, wonderful resort! The service is great and the restaurants are also top-notch! The Sunday Brunch is wonderful!!!! When you come to Park City, be sure to pick up a copy of the Park Record (our newspaper). During the off season a lot of the good restaurants offer 2 for 1 specials!

Eb,

There is really NO comparison between Stein's and the Park Regency, as evidenced by the prices. The Nov rate you've got for Stein's is a steal for what you would get. It's the only 5 diamond rated hotel in Utah - and well deserved.

It just depends on how you want to spend your money on this trip.

Thanks Dayle! I found the $175 rate through Lodging.com. I called Stein Ericksen directly yesterday and got a rate of $205 w/o a fireplace or $225 with a fireplace, but learned that if you are a member of AAA you can get the same rooms for $155/$175. I thought this was interesting... At any rate, I think I may join AAA and go for booking directly. Thanks so much to all for your advice. And any other suggestions for our trip are most welcome eb

Eb,

I just checked to see if a text search for "Park City" would bring up some old threads, and it does.

Do a search for lots of recommendations for great restaurants and mroe acitivities than you'll have time for.

Happy travels!
