Just goes to show you everybody has different opinions. I took my two boys to San Diego when they were around the same age as your son. We all loved Paradise Point. The ponds and foliage are gorgeous. They also loved the zoo. Granted my kids love zoos in general but the San Diego Zoo is way above average. They liked Sea World but not as much and were not that interested in even going to Legoland. The wild animal park is great too. It might be worthwhile spending some time on the websites of your choices and getting his input about what he would like to do.

I have to admit. Mom is rooting for the zoo. And he is a Lego maniac so I know that would be his choice. We've got a Sea World here in Texas (nowhere near the ocean oddly enough)so I guess we could always catch that one here.
Thanks for the further info on Paradise Point. I feel so fortunate to have found this great resource!
