Palm Springs for us???

We have a United airlines credit that we must use, and the only time we can use it is over the President's Day weekend in February. We would be traveling from the Pacific NOrthwest and we would like it to be somewhat warm, and we only have 4 days, so we have decided (we think!) on Palm Springs because the flight isn't too long. I know nothing at all about this place. We would be going with our 3 teenagers, and our boys like to golf. Our daughter would be happy to hang out by the pool (would it be warm enough, usually?). Looks like a trip to Joshua Tree would be good too. Where should we stay? We like luxury, good pools, good restaurants, and not too far away from whatever there is to do. Any suggestions for me?
Please respond via email, [email protected]. Thank you so much!!

I stayed at Rancho Las Palmas in Palm Springs. Really pretty big rooms, pool with waterslides, and most rooms overlook the golf course with nice ponds. Just be forewarned that the airport is a nightmare when departing, lines to go through security are >30 mins and planes are never on time.

Palm Springs or Palm Desert would be a perfect match for your vacation needs. Lots of restaurants and resort style lodging to choose from and more than enough golf courses, swimming pools and shopping to keep the kids occupied and happy.

The above poster are right. PS and surroundings will meet or exceed your needs. Be warned, however, that it can and does get quite chilly in Feb. Also, the sun goes down over the mountain around 2-3 in the afternoon, and that's when the temp drops. If you want to get the full 18 holes in, you'll need to tee off no later that 11 AM.

The Wyndham is a nice resort in town.
