Packing for Orlando trip next week--weather?

Help,I am packing for the family trip in a week to Disney World. The forecast states high 60's low 70's. That's not all that great in Ohio. I am hoping that's shorts weather in Orlando. I know evenings will be cool. Any Floridians with expert advice will be of great help! Thanks

I'm not sure what you mean by "that's not all that great in Ohio". If you mean that doesn't seem very cold to you, I'm inclined to agree. I would suggest packing mostly shorts with a couple pairs of jeans. The cargo-style pants that zip off into shorts are ideal. Sweatshirts will be enough to keep you warm, and they're easy to take off and tie around your waist. A light windbreaker that can double as rain gear is advisable. If there's any rain forecasted, pick up some cheap parkas--they're very expensive at WDW.

Do you mean you feel cold in Ohio when highs are in the 60's and low 70's? If so, it's likely you will here as well, though humidity here plays some part in "feels like" temps.

This has been an unusual winter, our 5th here (Tampa, one hour to the west of Orlando) and by far the coldest, with many cold fronts sweeping the state all the way to the keys.

Last week we were in the midst of one of these fronts and it was jeans weather. This week it's shorts weather and who knows what next week will bring. Plan for both--it's bound to be better than what you are having up there anyway!

Ah, but, O, do you have a forecast for the 16th? Did your manitee see his shadow like Pete? Picture me concerned - Pier 60 is further north. A person could get stuck in a rotary and not be found until spring. Ciao

"...Did he ever return,
No he never returned
And his fate is still unlearn'd
He may ride forever
round the rotary of Clearwater
He's the man who never returned...

Kingston Trio, 195X, 196X?

No shadows here...pea soup fog!

Very cute and funny - you missed your callings (songwriter and funny person). I'm thinking 1959. And I do believe it was about this time of year in that same year that "the music died" ... but what about the temp? It would seem one can send out for anything these days ... what's the number for warm weather? I will not lug my Levis. Ciao

Make that Phil, not Pete ... and manAtee. I'm normally better at things that go with a good Bordeaux.

Kelly-It is 17 degrees in Ohio today, 60 or 70 would feel wonderful! Are the lights on and nobodys' home or what?
