Hey Faina, it's The Twister (I've been called worst thing, esp'lly on this board).
You dont get off so easy. I have time off in October too--so there. Maybe we xhould go visit Belle in Alabama??

Olesouthernbelle et al, forgive this diversion from the Kauai topic.

CaliNurse: The store was more a gallery shop that sold jewelry as well in P'ville. The name escapes me right now - though I have a receipt in a pile of recipts somewhere.

...and, as much as I love my Sweet Home Alabama, I wouldn't dare try to sway someone to come here when a trip to Hawaii is on the table! No contest!!!

Y'all have fun on your trips!

Well, it's been about 11 days since the last update. Any necklace yet, OSB?

Not yet. If it doesn't come this week, I'll give him a call. He has called once to say it was coming along nicely (got my machine and didn't leave his number - I'll have to dig for it).

starrsville: It's been MANY days, but after 2-3 phone calls, the necklace finally arrived today! The workmanship looks OK - not great, but OK.

The surprise is the color. The previous string was brown, to match the hook itself. This string is straw colored.
It looks longer (which was what DS needed).

I haven't given it to DS as yet, so am not sure if he will like it enough to wear it.

The changing of the string color takes away from the beauty of the piece, but I'm NOT sending it back!

I am SO glad you finally got it, but am SO sorry they changed the color.

I hope he likes it. I'm sure he appreciates all the effort you put into this. Thanks for the update!
