Orlando trip, please help us decide
Greetings
After visiting different sites I decided to consult and get advice from our fodorite friends.
We will be traveling with relatives, a couple with a 6mos baby from Spain to Orlando on a budget. The stay: Friday thru Tuesday noon.
This is their first trip to USA and we want to make it enjoyable to them. Got a PL hotel but cannot decide on the tickets considering there is a baby with us and practicality.
Which parks and which deal would you recommend best for us? I heard of Universal's after 2pm $38 deal but cannot find it online. Is it gone? Any other money savers?
Your help will be appreciated.

go online for the unlimited (week-long?)Universal pass (or 2 day/2 park for Busch and Seaworld)less than a day price at Disney);though the following site is mostly for Disney, it has helpful tips and linds for other parks:

However, last March I bought directly from Universal (it was the cheapest price around) and picked them up at a kiosk when I got there (just scanned the cc that I used to buy online). Parking a car is about $14, but free after 5 p.m. Best tip: The fascinating Mythos restuarant at Islands of Adventure is a terrific place to have a relaxed meal, but make reservations at the reservations booth when you enter the park proper (and I found that the cost is almost the same as the other cafeteria style eateries).

2 parks, 6 days, plus water park, $99; just buy (online only) two days before you arrive.

Hi
Two ideas for you.
1. http://www.sunshinetravelinc.net
Click the Extras tab then find "tickets & attractions in the middle of the page.
Right now there's buy 3 day Disney with park hopper & get 2 extra days free offer.
There are also offers on Sea World and other attractions there.
2. If you want to spend the time to listen to a time share sales pitch you can often get some free or cheap tickets.

Im a local not sure of deals outside of Fl. Resident Specials, but if traveling with small children I would definetly consider Seaworld as it is very interactive for the little ones, the adults love it(roller coasters) and the crowds are very managable. If you are staying on disney property they have a great transportation system so you dont have to have a car to get around.
