I went to Kennedy Space Center when I was 16 on my first trip to Orlando. My brother was 10 and little sister was 8 and we all were bored to death. It's a long drive and too dry for kids of any age. I've seen space exhibits at local science centers and IMAX theatres that were as educational and much more entertaining. Unless you've got a youngster that has a passion about space and astronauts I don't think it's worth the trip. Too many other things to do that kids find more exciting IMO. Of course they could have updated since then (1992)

Michellecur makes a good point. While I just loved the space center, my 2 kids weren't impressed. We had gone to Universal and Sea World the previous 2 days and KSC just couldn't compete with all those roller coasters, etc. Maybe if the space center had been our first stop, they would have enjoyed it more.

IOA (Islands of Adventure) is a wonderful theme park. A previous poster called it a collection of roller coasters. That is TOTALLY WRONG! There are actually only three adult roller coasters there and some of the BEST rides ever. Superman is the best ride I've ever experienced. The park is wonderfully themed with the music changing from island to island. There are great little details everywhere. It's really a fun place.
