Orlando Hotel Recommendation
Our family of 2 adults and 3 children will be travelling from Australia to the USA next October(99) and spending a week in Orlando. We have just started looking at hotels and I would appreciate any feedback on the various hotels available in Orlando. With the 5 of us we intend to take 2 rooms with an interconnecting door unless any of the hotels have a room with 2 bedrooms. We would be looking at comfortable accommodation not at the "cheap" end of the market but also not necessarily at the 5 star end unless the pricing is reasonable.
Thanks in advance.

Last November, my family of 5 stayed at a great and extremely reasonable hotel - Holiday Inn Hotel and Suites (formerly Holiday Inn Maingate East) My brother had recommended it also. There are lots of Holiday Inns down there so be careful! We were about 5 minutes by car from Walt Disney World resorts. Also the hotel offered a free shuttle, but we drove ourselves.
I believe the price was $85 per night total for a suite. That included 2 very large bedrooms, a full kitchen and a large bathroom. The hotel also offered "kidsuites", but do NOT get those. They are much smaller than the two bedroom suites and only have a small divided area for kids.
We loved it. There are two heated pools at the hotel and rooms are arranged around the pool. Ask for a room facing a pool. Kids eat free, which means our three kids ate free when my husband and I bought breakfast or dinner at the hotel. There is a neat little area which serves a variety of food very quickly in the hotel as well as a sit-down restuarant. We were very very pleased with this place. Have fun!

The Beach Club/Yacht Club hotel in Disney is where I would go. All Disney hotels are expensive but to forgo the shuttles and be right in Disney is so worth it. The pool has all sorts of slides, currents, and fun things for kids as well as adults. The Polynesian or Contemporary are old hotels but right in the Magic Kingdom area. Any of the other Disney Hotels are nice but with kids I would opt for the Yacht Club. Need help let me know I grew up in Florida.

I want to spend in Orland in next Febraury, March or July with my family for a month. We don't want to spend at hotel because it will be very expensive. We want rent a house. We are of 6 children and 4 adult.
