Oregon US 101
If you are driving the Oregon coast on US 101 it is closed near Milepost 344 about 12 miles north of Brookings. There is a rather long sunken grade that may take ODoT a few days to fill in.
If you plan on going over any of the passes over the Cascades, check to make sure they are open. Rt. 58 over the Wilammette Pass just reopened last night after being closed for several days.
US 20 was closed by several avalanches in the last week.

Excellent advice. The same goes for anyone traveling anywhere along the California coast and especially any mountain routes through the Sierra. I-80 and Hwy 50 have had chain controls much of the last month and periodic total closures, I-80 was closed the best part of two days this week and more storms are due in next week.
Just anywhere on the west coast be sure to check road conditions before driving.
