oregon trip when?

we have had a change in plans and now will be going to oregon vs vancouver this summer sometime between late June and early Sept.

portland to visit friends, coast and probably some other areas as well, just starting our research.

any particular time in the above dates that the weather is better - less rain less fog. and less crowds. or does it really matter?

thanks

Personally Joanel, I always like September..so I would opt for late August to early September, depending how long you will have for your trip.

August and September are the best times of year. August will probably be more crowded at the coast as everyone else has the same idea and school hasn't started yet, but it is gorgeous.

Personally, September tends to be my favorite time of year there.

Taek the early September dates. Less crowded and usually better weather. We purposely had our outdoor weddingin early September just because of the weather. Turned out to be the 2nd hottest day of the summer that year, lol!

Yeah, September is great because many people are done with their summer traveling. I would recommend going after Labor Day weekend as that is a very popular and crowded weekend at the beach. The weather is great as well!

How much time will you have in Oregon?

I've always thought of Sept as one of the best months here, too. So I was surprised to see we on average get as much rain that month as we do in June, which always seems wet to me. August should be your best bet, weatherwise.

Our first trip to Portland was the first 2 weeks in September. Every day was sunny and warm, they fooled us, we thought all that talk about rain was urban legend

We moved to Portland in August..sunny and warm. Boy were we surprised when it finally started raining in October ~

I vote for September, the days are still warm and sunny but the nights are cooler..
