Orbitz for hotel rooms

Anyone ever have any problems with Orbitz in reserving a hotel room? Have used them in the past for airlines and cars, but never to reserve a room. Need some feedback!
TIA

Orbitz, Expedia, Travelocity, Hotels.com. They're all fine. Be sure that you really are getting a break on the price by checking the hotel's website. Often they are just matching the lowest price on the hotel website, and they may add a processing fee to the total so it's slightly more expensive.

Just my two cents, but you can often get the same price booking directly thru the hotel. If the price is higher on the hotel website than Orbitz, call the hotel reservations desk---*not* the 800# but the actual property---tell them of the Orbitz price and ask if they can match it. Often this step will not be necessary b/c the hotel website frequently offers as good or better a price than booking services like Orbitz.

Actually, I did check with the hotel, and Orbitz is about $20 less. Just want to be sure I don't get aggrevated by saving a few bucks.

I always check Orbitz and the hotel's website before booking and if Orbitz is cheaper I book through them. Never had an issue. Be sure to check the CXL policy.

Check if the taxes on Orbitz are included or not, and then do the same on the hotel's website.

If Orbitz is cheaper, go for it.

Just make sure to call hotel directly to confirm reservations - and this is just a general advice for all kinds of reservations, doesn't matter how they were made.

If OP is going to have to call the hotel anyway to confirm the res, why not give them a chance to match the rate?
