One Way Auto Rental from EWR to DCA Area

Flying into EWR and live in DC. Thinking about driving home as train schedule doesn't mesh with arrival in EWR. I've been looking at one way car rentals for 1 day and am surprised at the cost. Any suggestions on website for discount car rentals?

Dukey - Thanks, we want to get back home the day we return.

kMarie --Thanks, had not thought of Costoco. Unfortunately I looked and it's the same price. I am puzzled as to why a one way 24 hour rental is so much. Maybe the start out of ERW?

Probably due to the time/expense of getting the car back to EWR. One way rentals are expensive.

Any one way renal is costly. Have you lookedtino adding on EWR-DCA flight? If train is unacceptable tome wise, and price is an issue consider the Chinatown bus.

Thanks! I have been tracking them in case they drop, but airfares have gotten high from DC to NYC area. Used to do that, but no more. Bus is a good idea, I'll see if I can find one that doesn't go into NYC.

Yes, my alerts are for the 3 DC area airports, DCA, IAD & BWI.

I'm still looking at the various buses that go between EWR & DC.
