Hi guys.....how long is the subway ride from O'Hare to the Lincoln Park area? Thank you!!

Without knowing where exactly toy are going, I will just give you some estimates. You can't just take one train to Licoln Park area. You could do it two different ways. Take the train to downtown station(about 45 minutes) and transfer to a different train(probably another 15 or so minutes), or get off the train at Logan Square, Fullerton, North Avenue(20,25,30 minutes) and transfer to a bus, and depending on the traffic, about another 15-25 minutes).
These are just estimates, but I would guess, pretty close, time wise.

It depends on where you are going in Lincoln Park.

Here's how I do it. I take the blue line from O'Hare into the loop and get off at Washington stop. That ride is about 45 minutes.

I then walk through the tunnel and get on the red line train going north and get off at the Fullerton stop. About 15 minutes.

If all goes well about and hour and 15 minutes.

Some people suggest getting off the train from O'Hare and talking a bus across to Licoln Park, I wouldn't.

Unfortunately you are making a v. You are going southwest on the first train then north on the second.

I am going to West Arlington Place (the Arlington House) supposedly in the Lincoln Park area. I am in no rush to get there as I fly in at OHare around noon. Am I better off taking one of those shuttle vans that drop u off at your hotel? By the way, does Chicago have unlimited subway rides (like SF and NY)? I am staying over Memorial Day Weekend so any info would be a big help. THANKS!!

You know if you just went to the link I posted earlier and clicked-on CTA, or if you did a search for CTA you would find www.transitchicago.com, the official CTA site, which will not only plan your trip, but tell you how much, what passes are avilable, and show you maps, etc...etc...

Pinstripe-there is not a subway that goes that close to where you are going. It's not far, but if you have luggage then you won't want to do the walk. You can take the Blue Line el from O'Hare to Fullerton and just get a cab from there. Or you could take it to downtown and then either another train (the red) back up to LP. However, the red train stops several blocks from Arlington. I would just take the shuttle-I don't think it's terribly expensive plus it's just much easier. Or take the blue line to a cab to save a little bit of money but it won't be that big of a difference. The subway takes approx. 20-30 mins or so from O"Hare, but it really depends on the day. Hope this helps.

You can do two things. Follow the instructions I first gave to Fullerton stop then walk about ten minutes.

Or

Take the blue line train into the loop. Get off around washington. Go outside and up toDearborn ST and catch the #22 bus (clark st. bus ask someone for directions to bus stop) North to around Arlington place. Probably a couple of stops past Fullerton. Not sure of time 30 minutes maybe?

Don't know about limo/bus service. I was too poor for that.

I should add that the only complaint I had about that area was that it wasn't a great location for subway/el train travel. If I recall correctly, it's about a 10 maybe 15 minute walk to the two closest el stations,
Fullerton or Diversey. There is pretty dirct bus service into the loop, the #22 that I mentioned. It's a busy congested street and stops at pretty much every other corner or so.
