We are taking a long weekend in September to go to Maine from Connecticut. What restaurant do you recommend for a nice romantic saturday night dinner in Ogunquit (great food a must)? Also, has anyone ever stayed at The Nevada in York Beach?

I agree with Ellie, nothing in the area even comes close. They have a fabulous garden out back you can tour. They grow all their own vegetables and herbs. In the fall, you dine looking out the windowsat trees covered with twinkling lights and various sized pumkins placed all over the grounds.PBS had a repeat of the Victory Garden two days ago on which they featured Arrows.

also want to suggest the Sunday jazz brunch at the Hurricane, facing the ocean. Great food, reservations a must.

Be sure to have a lunch at the Maine Diner in Wells, and order the vegetable of the day. They grow them right outside behind the restaurant!

Paras Pizza in the Wells Plaza is unique and can't be beat (but stick to the pizza - not the burgers).
