Official Notice: North Carolina GTG
Guys, this is what I've come up with, after talking with restaurant managers and others who have planned GTGs:
Saturday, November 19, 2005
1:00 PM LUNCH
P F Chang's
Crabtree Valley Mall
Raleigh, NC
(Checks separate, 15-person table in area separate from dining rooms; if more than 15 come, overflow would have to be seated separately at table in the dining room ...)
Lunch rather than dinner because we can have the table for more than two hours at that time of day, almost certainly, and also because some may have a couple of hours drive home, not so much fun at night.)
I will book or not, depending on the response to this official notice, over the coming week. Please tell me if you're definite (only hell or high water will stop you) and if you'll have a companion. The address for the restaurant is:
4325 Glenwood Avenue
Raleigh, NC 27612
(in case you'd like to *Mapquest* directions!)
If this won't work for a lot of people, maybe someone else could suggest and plan a GTG at another place and time, that would be better.
WARNING: UNC, NC State and Duke fans may have to sit next to each other (and behave)!
NOTE: Some of you could combine this with your Christmas shopping. There's a Toys 'R Us right next door, as well as a big Barnes & Noble with a Starbucks in addition to the Mall stores.
You can respond here or e-mail me at [email protected]. Thanks, everybody, for your thoughts and suggestions.

Bonnie, I think it's great that you picked a date/time/place. Not everyone's going to make it, but at least you have a plan. Stick to it.
The NJ/NY GTG is scheduled for 22 October. Details to follow in September. Ya'all need to pencil it in now!!

Careful, SAnParis ... you might have to face us ACC fans at a GTG one of these days!!!

I am really pleased at the response I'm getting to this plan.
I know it won't be the best location or best time for some, but that will always be the case ... hopefully, those who can't make this GTG will make the NEXT one, as I really feel this will be the first of many!
Hey Budman, thanks for your support... You are an old pro at this, I know, and if I were passing through NY/NJ at the time, I would stop by for yours! To you ...
Cassandra and Diane (uhoh_busted) ... I'm delighted that you guys are aboard! (Cassandra, you are coming solo, right?) Andy, I really hope that you can work something out with *Hubs* (or Reneeinva) to be here! I believe, by the time we pick up some of the posters who've expressed interest previously, we will have a really good group!!!
Come on, Carolinians! Let's FILL that table (and OVERFLOW!)
