Hilton and Wyndham Ocean Walk are across from the Ocean Center, and both very nice.

I am considering both....Wyndham is pricey and gets bad reviews lately. But I like the kitchen and living area option.

Hilton is basic hotel but would be cheaper. Not great reviews either....I think they will have a lower rate due to the Musical Festival that weekend.

Is there a convenience store in walking distance? Will be flying if I can get good tickets.

We have stayed at the Ocean Walk two times and we were pleased with our condos. The first time we had a one bedroom, city view and the second time we had a two bedroom, ocean view. Both of the condos we had were clean and the furniture was fine. Guess it is just the luck of the draw. We liked the area of the Ocean Walk-walking to restaurants, movies, etc. We also liked having a kitchen and washer and dryer in the condo.

Yeah, I agree sometimes people that have good experiences don't comment so it gets out of balance.

You must have stayed at Wyndham.

joebear- when we stayed at the Hilton a couple of years ago, there was a 7-11 or similar you could walk to from the hotel. When we were there, it had been recently renovated, we found it quite nice. Also, that part of the beach did not have driving on the beach.

If you won't have a car, try to google and see if they still have the trolley that runs up and down A1A (the main road on the beach side). There are a couple of Publix grocery stores on that strip(but not walking distance). Votran is the name of the area bus service.

I love the Hampton Inn Oceanfront but it's not near the Ocean Center - which is why I love it.

If you want to consider other locations, check it out.

Yeah, I read the reviews on lots of hotels and would love to stay there. We are heading to Jonas Brothers concert.....so walking back at night is a big concern. Getting cab after concert might add more gray hairs.

I am sure it is going to be overwhelmingly crowded...we are bracing ourselves for it.
