Oahu Luau's
Hi. We're trying to decide on a Luau when we are in Oahu. Right now, its between Polynesian Cultural Center and Germaine's. Anyone have any feedback on either? Or is there one that's better/more recommended?
Thanks!!

I haven't been to either, but I posted the same question recently. The gyst seemed to be, better food at Germaine's but awesome show at PCC. However, keep in mind PCC doesn't serve alcohol so if you want a mai tai with your buffet, Germaine's would be the best bet.
Do you have the entertainment book for Hawaii? I believe Germaine's has a coupon in there.

Polynesian Cultural Center is much better.
They have the best Polynesian show in all of Hawaii. It is their evening show, 'Horizons' (7:30pm). It comes with all tickets $50 & up. This show is huge. There are over 100 performers as compared to 15-20 for any other Polynesian show.
A $50 ticket also includes 7 villages each with their own show/demonstration, a canoe pageant, canoe rides and IMAX. This ticket does not include a meal.
The $80 Ali'i Luau package includes everything above plus the 5pm dinner/show. The Ali'i Luau is average with average food. Included is a lei greeting and upgraded seats for 'Horizons'.
There is also an optional $15 buffet (5pm). So you could get the $50 ticket & add on the buffet. The food is better at the buffet, but no entertainment.
$36 coupon in Entertainment Book for PCC.
Also 25% off coupons in Entertainment Book for both Germanine's & Paradise Cove luaus.
Books are now about $12.50 + $5 shipping. Expires November 1.

My husband & I just returned from Oahu. We also attended the Polynesian Cultural Center only because everyone raved about how great it was. We found the luau very disappointing. The demonstrations were very informative. The night show was fantastic! The next time we are in Oahu we will definately try another luau somewhere else.
