NYC Weekend with kids- in the cold!

I have been reading a lot of trip reports and have gotten some great tips. We are taking a last minute trip to NYC with two ten year olds. Looking for restaurant recommendations and recommendations for outings. They want to go to American Girl and experience Chinatown. And we have tickets to a show starting at 8:00 Sat night. The kids are adventurous eaters. Thanks!

In Chinatown try Jing Fong, Golden Unicorn, or Nom wah for dim sum, if they are adventurous. Unfortunately they do get extremely busy on weekends.

Other places for adventurous eaters:
Jeepney-hip Filipino
Miss Korea-Korean BBQ
La Boqueria, Nai, or Tia Pol-tapas

Thanks you! How about Italian? We will be close to Little Italy also and have never had really great food there. Any ideas for dinner? We are staying near Grand Central.

There are few places in Little Italy to eat, but most are terrible, what is left of Little Italy.

Il Cortile of the old style
Parm would be fun, but it gets crowded.

Supper on East 2nd Street, but I think it cash only

If you are at Grand Central

Be sure to stop at Financiers for pastries near the entrance to the subway.

The Oyster Bar is an old favorite and the tiling and how they make the clam chowder will be fun for the kids. It is the Grand Central-ask.
