I would personally choose Rhiga (now a JW Marriott) over the Rennaissance, but either would be fine. I've never eaten at Broadway Joe's. The way I look at it is, why would I eat at a place than has discount coupons printed in just about every tourist magazine known to man? If that is the only way they can fill the place, it's not for me.

FYI:
The hotel has changed it's name back to Rhiga Royal, even though they are still managed by Marriott. They felt the Rhiga Royal was a more 'upscale' sounding name than JW Marriott.

I concur - definitely the Rhiga - I've stayed there myself and all their rooms are suites with french doors leading from the living room to the bedroom. Have fun!

Patrick is right on the mark about Broadway Joe's. You can do much better right on the same block in several places.

Never heard of Broadway Joe's and I live in NYC. Patrick makes a good point.
Stick to one of the classics..the Palm, Smith & Wollensky (thier grill is more moderately priced)or Sparks. Even Gallagher's (just a step below the other 3) is good for something in the Times Square area.
Have fun!

I highly recommend the Rhiga (yes, it has gone back to the Rhiga name). I live in NYC but friends from San Fran who visit always stay there. And I have to agree with the previous posters - there are so many good restaurants to choose from in NYC that I would pass on Broadway Joe's. The suggestions given above are fabulous for steak places - but the concierge at the Rhiga is great and can certainly steer you in the right direction. That said, hope you have a great trip and be prepared for the heat (and rain!)
