I'd say it doesn't matter. When school is in session, the Natural History Museum can be packed with field trips, but it's naturally crowded on Saturdays anyway.
I prefer Central Park in the afternoon when the people are out, so how about the museum on Saturday morning?

I think it probably doesn't matter. However, depending on when you're there, you might want to consider the heat factor. In July or August, a Saturday morning will probably be more pleasant in the park than the middle of the day when the sun is at full strength. Spending mid-day indoors is not a bad idea.

You've asked a question for which it's impossible to give the "best" answer. Would you rather be outdoors strolling in the park or inside a museum? To me, both are wonderful activities. Which one I would choose would probably depend on my mood that day.

TarheelsInNj - I was definitely thinking along those lines. Don't want to be in the park int he heat of the day (going end of June, first week July). Museum in the afternoon would be nice, but if we HAD to fit it in in a morning, I wondered if it would be better to switch it to Fri (as of now I planned on Sat).
We'll probably just have to base it all on weather. For all I know it will be raining the day I pick for the park.
Thanks
