NYC hotels
Our family of four planning a long weekend in NYC with two adults and two teenagers.
Since the areas we are visiting are in Greenwich Village and lower Manhatten the reasonable weekend rate at the Embassy Suites looks great. I would appreciate feedback on that location. Is it on the "downtown loop" bus route?
Another alternative would be to stay at the Sheraton Suites Hotel across the river in Weekaueken, NJ and take the ferry over. Does anyone have an opinion on that?
Sheraton advertises free parking and a swimming pool
Thanks in Advance

You might want to also check rates at the Marriott Hotel at the World Trade Center. That hotel, and the Millenium, are generally "business" hotes. They often run good weekend rates as most tourists would prefer midtown.
The Sheraton in Weehawken is fine and has a great view. However, you'll be paying close to a NYC price and you will be on the wrong side of the river.
Try the Marriott.

My husband and 17 year old son stayed at the Radio City Suites for $118.00 a night. It's right off Times Square, Rockefeller Square is near. My son took the subway to Greenwhich Village with no difficulty even though we're from the country. They were very happy with the hotel, full kitchen, maid service, etc. Have fun!
