MV is awesome. We walked everywhere, got tired, then took a tour. It really is something else. We got to see where Jaws was filmed, where Diane Sawyer lives, lots of little roads out in the country with mile long driveways. The natives can tell you who's who on the Island. Lots of Hollywood people, who enjoy their privacy. A lot of stores for shopping and places to eat. The best restaurants are the mom and pop type, away from the beaches. We were told that the restaurants near the beaches change hands all the time. MV is definitely a must. So is Cape Cod. Hyannis is gorgous. We rode on the duck mobile land/water boat. The Cape has the most beautiful beaches you'll ever see. Haven't done Nantucket, yet.

Hi everyone, I'm planning a NE - NY 8 day blitz. Travelling from Toronto, but doing business in Hartford for 2 weeks prior to this trip, I am thinking of picking up my gf who will fly in to Boston, spending a night downtown, go to cheers and out to a club, spend the night in a cheap but decent hotel and then catching a ball game on the next day (Sunday). Sunday night drive to Hyannis in Cape Cod. Found a decent motel very well priced. The next day (Monday) whale watching and maybe hang out in and around Cape Cod. On Tuesday it's back to Hartford to drop off the car I'm borrowing. That night we want to go to Foxwoods for the evening (hopefully to win enough money for the rest of the trip ... it gets good!) Not sure how we are going to get to Foxwoods from Hartford, maybe a cab. The next day (Wednesday), it's off to take the casino shuttle to the Orient ferry and we're going to take the high speed boat to the Hampton's. Not sure how or where we're going to stay once we get off the ferry (still need to figure it out, thinking about having a limo pick us up and take us to the hotel, any ideas would be appreciated). We're thinking of one night in the Hamptons (Wednesday night). My gf loves following "the stars" so we're hoping to bump into a few dining and drinking and pretending on the Wednesday night. Following the Hampton's, Thursday it's off to NYC (maybe via the luxury grey hound or another limo) for 3 nights of living it up. Cafe on the green, VIP club guestlist, movie set tours, horse and carriage ride through the park, and maybe a helicopter ride are all on our to do list. We both will be flying home to Toronto from there on Sunday. Do you think this marathon is possible? Since we both have never vacationed in this part of the world we are trying to make the most of it. Also, an engagement proposal may happen during this trip ... it's got all the right ingrediences. Please post any comments. Thanks.
