NY Television Filming Locations & Schedules Wanted

Does anyone know of a web site with information on NY television or movie shooting schedules and locations? We'll be in NY later this week (Jan.6,00) and would love to see some of the "on location" filming that takes place on the streets of NY. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.

Here is a link to the NYC Mayors Office of Flim,Theatre & Broadcasating

I don't know if you have ever viewed a flim of TV series being film, but it is a boring and tedious process, and very rarely do they film complete scenes.

Your time here might be better spent if you visit 'key' sights from famous movies or TV shows that are filmed here. In fact, there is a tour called 'Kenny Kramer's Seinfeld Reality Tour' run by Kenny Kramer, who is the real life person that the 'Kramer' character on the Seinfeld show was loosely based on. He will take you on a narrated bus tour of the sites and places that were featured on the TV sitcom.

Thanks Anthony; I have watched several tv and films being made - even landed a role as extra in the fabulous film, Ice Castles! Bet you missed me in that one. I'm not interested in spending an entire day watching - too many other wondeful things to see and do, but would have fun shooting a few pictures of "stars" if we could happen on to a set. The Mayor's site seems to only have info if I'm interested in making a film in NYC - did I miss something there?
