NY hotel Help please....

Hi
Can some one give me a suggestion on a NY hotel? My sisters will be arriving from overseas and they would like to stay in a centrally located, not so expensive, clean hotel in Manhattan.
Thanks a bunch.

What do they consider not too expensive, $100, $200? If it's 2 of them, they maywant to consider priceline. They could probably land a very nice hotel at a bargain rate (see biddingfortravel.com).

Some budget hotels with decent reputations are Red Roof Inn ? 6 West 32nd St www.redroof.com
Super 8 New York Times Sq ? 59 West 46th St www.super8.com
Radio City Apartments ? 142 West 49th St www.radiocityapartments.com (also times sq area and has kitchenette)
Travel Inn (I think also in Times Sq area)
Days Inn

Check tripadvisor for feedback. Do they plan on sharing a room (then your looking at $140 for the room)? You can probably get a 4* on priceline for $140. Check rates on the hotel website and call the hotels directly too. The prices are not necessarily better on booking sites (like expedia or hotels.com).
