NY hotel help

Has anyone actually stayed at the Bryant Park Hotel yet? I'd love to hear from you as I have tentative reservations for next week.
Thanks

No, but I have eaten at Ilo, the restaurant there, which is terrific and well worth it.

Barbara,I have not stayed there either but I went to their website and it looks like a great hotel!I wish I could stay there but it's a little too steep for my pocketbook.
Please write a review on this hotel when you come back for the rest of us! Thanks.

Barbara: Haven't stayed at the hotel, but have been in the lobby. It is very minimalist and not particularly to my taste. It is located in the old American Radiator Building, which is an art deco landmark. In general, I'm not excited about hotels that have been converted from office buildings. We stay in a similar type hotel in Philadelphia, the Loews, and couldn't shake the feel we were in an old bank headquarters building. Since the hotel is new and trendy, I'm sure it will be quite stylish and upscale, although my guess is that the rooms are small. It is very centrally located on 40th Street between 5th and 6th Avenues, within walking distance of all midtown attractions. Having said that, it is not one of my favorite blocks, since it is particularly quiet on weekends and evenings. It is a very long block and the hotel is directly across the street from Bryant Park, which is lovely in Spring and Summer but nothing special at this time of year. The Bryant Park Cafe, in Bryant Park has gotten very good reviews on this forum for it's brunch, and I can personally vouch for lunch and dinner. Don't miss the Christmas windows at Lord and Taylor, it's on 5th Avenue and 39th Street, around the corner from your hotel. Let us know what you think of the Bryant Park Hotel and environs. Enjoy your stay.
