Just spent the weekend in San Francisco. The sun was blinding. On Sunday, I had to carry my sweater as I walked outdoors, it was so warm.
Getting off that plane in Seattle, the air grey, feeling the cool mist on my face - What a relief!

Nevisian- Welcome to Seattle then (in advance)!
If you want to be walking distance to the Market (very good - quick learner!) you will be living somewhere downtown.
For myself I like to be a tiny bit out, and have lived on Capitol Hill for nearly a couple decades now. It's only 2-3 miles from downtown, but you get a much more residential feel, streets lined with huge old trees, old mansions among the new condos, and loads of shops and restaurants... but less cement and stress than being actually downtown proper imo.

70 degrees and gorgeous, yesterday & again today! When the sun comes out in Oregon it truly is heaven on earth! Yes, the rain will return tonight, but the trick to survival is when the sun comes out; head out to enjoy immediately! Don't hesitate or the moment may be lost!
Today was a chair & book next to the Willamette River. Tomorrow likely a cup of tea and the Oregon Ducks in March madness! Or if game no good a trip to Panther Creek Winery! It 's all good! LO
It makes the gloom easier to bear; and/or istead focusing on the beautiful daffodils and flowering cherries all getting a needed drink!
