northern oregon getaway

My boyfriend and I would like to drive down to northern Oregon coast from Seattle for a 3 day getaway. We'd like to stay away from huge crowds and too much noise. Can somebody suggest a nice place to stay that's about 4-5 hrs from Seattle? Also, fun things to do (kayaking, white water rafting, etc) would be great.

Thank you so much,
Valeria.

anyone?

(I'm in Seattle but have only been to Cannon Beach, one time w/ my family. I usually go to the coast in Washington, down around Graylands, Ocean Shores, those areas.)

When are you coming? If it is a nice weekend, then most places will be crowded. We usually head over to Cannon Beach as it is the nicest beach that is close to Portland. But last week we headed down to Pacific City/Cape Kiwanda. Had not been there in years and really enjoyed it. It was a beautiful day, and even with that it wasn't that crowded. The Inn at Cape Kiwanda is supposed to be nice, but I haven't stayed there so can't comment except on the location (which is great). From there you can drive north on the 3 Capes Scenic Loop, which is, quite scenic, lol!

Labor Day wkend ???? then you will likely have noise and crowds just about anywhere.
Posted several times a peaceful and affordable place (if reservations are available with WA Ste PArks) is Fort Columbia in Wash State just across the Columbia River Astoria OR 4 mile bridge.
You can see the ocean and the river from the Stewards house..and the deer are at your back door.
You do have a full kitchen..bring groceries with you or buy in Astoria.
Only drawback is the only bathroom is upstairs with tub..no shwr.
You can play on Fort Columbia, Long Beach, fly a kite, visit an Ocean Spray cranberry bog, drive your 4 whhel drive car on the sand...check out Astoria Maritime Museum

What about the guy in Oceanside? He should have room, and it fits your
parameters.

...and Roseanna's is a great place.
