NJ-Blueberries Anyone?

Big fan of NJ blueberries and would like to go blueberry picking this summer. Anyone know of any great place to pick them?
Thank you...

This sounds interesting! Living in the West, I know next to nothing about NJ. But doesn't matter where people live, Google usually works!

Told my kids last time we went blueberry picking that they would weigh both them and the buckets. Young one had next to no berries in the bucket, but grinned a very blue, toothy grin.

J62, did you put them through a washing machine and hung on a clothes line to dry?

Nope - but I did find out that one must check all parts of the child, fore and aft, before they sit on gray leather car seats...

In Russia (maybe in US too?) the dark cherries color the urine pink. It was my boys' favorite summer joke to scare their grandma they're peeing blood. First time she got scared without pretending

Gail, There's a blueberry farm in Ocean County in Woodruff right off Rt 539 and Longswamp Road, near Ft. Dix/McGuire AFB. They have great pies also.

The name of the farm in ocean county is Emery's. There are several other farms in the area that you can pick corn, peaches, peas and other fruits and vegtables.

Emery's! Yes, that's the place I was referring to -- just forgot the name.

Well, it's because of this post that we're going strawberry picking this weekend! And blueberry picking when their season comes around. Yum!

We pick blueberries at a farm in Massachusetts and owner says now New Jersey blueberries are an actual variety - and are now grown in other places. He has some - big, fat, sweet - but I still think the ones from New Jersey I had as a kid were better.

Just drive down Rt 206 around Hammonton and you'll see bluberry bushes as far as the eye can see. I'm sure there are some pick your own along the road.

As far as ripening time, it depends on the variety. I have 9 bluberry bushes in my garden (in SE PA). The first ones ripen mid to late June and the late ones in August. My berries are just starting to develop some color.
