Nice B&B between Kenner (airport) and Natchez?

Lucky us, we're off to Louisiana next May. The first part of our trip is an excursion to Natchez (first time). Our plane lands at Kenner at 4:30 pm. We would like to spend a night on our way to Natchez at a nice B&B, good it it were an hour or less from Kenner. It would be especially nice if there was a restaurant attached to the lodging or at least very nearby. Our budget is $150 - $175 per night. Any suggestions would be most appreciated.

Get off I 10 at Exit 166 and go W on Highland Road to Stockade B & B in Baton Rouge, LA. Galatoire's Bistro is off to the right on Perkin's when you get off I 10. Stop there for dinner. It's about an hour from Kenner to BR.

Stockade B & B @ 8860 Highland Road, Baton Rouge, LA 225 - 769 - 7358.

littleman, thanks for your recommendations. We are staying at the Bisland House while in Natchez. Do you have another suggestion for our stay after we leave the airport? We think Baton Rouge is too far considering our flight lands at 4:30 pm & we have to get our car & get out of the airport. We would like to arrive someplace by about 6 pm.

Here's your best option. Leave the NOLA airport (MSY) going E on Airline Highway or Highway 61. Go 9 miles and you will pass Carrolton go to next street and take a U Turn on Pierce back to Carrolton. You can't turn left on Carrolton. Go N .5 mile to Canal and take a right. Go one block and take another right to Pierce Street to 1896 O'Malley House. This will take you 15 minutes from the aiport. You will be 15 minutes E of the Aiport and that much further away from Natchez but you will stay in NOLA's # 1 B&B and have a fine dinner at Mandina's which is 2 blocks SE of 1896 on Canal. If you prefer to to Liuzza's for outsanding creole cuisine. For future reference Finn McCools is the top sports bar in NOLA about 3/4 blocks S of 1896.

1896 O'Malley House @ 120 South Pierce Street, New Orleans, LA 866 - 226 - 1896.

Mandina's Restaurant @ 3800 Canal St., New Orleans, LA. 504 - 482 - 9179.

Liuzza's Restaurant and Bar @ 3636 Bienville Street, New Orleans, LA. 504 - 482 - 9120.

Finn McCool's Irish Pub @ 3701 Banks St., New Orleans, LA 504 - 486 - 9080.

Wm - Baton Rouge is not that far from the airport. My mother lives very close to the airport and from her house it takes right about an hour (sometimes less) to get the to the exit Littleman is referring to (I have friends off that exit). Very easy drive along I-10 and you are exiting before you hit potential downtown BR traffic.

On the way to Natchez, stop in St. Francisville (north of Baton Rouge) to see the town. There are several plantations nearby and Grace Church cemetery is lovely.

After doing a little more research, we discovered the 7 Oaks Plantation B&B in Kenner. Anyone have any experience with this B&B? Are there restaurants nearby? For us it would be great to be staying this close to the airport after our early evening arrival. Please advise if the noise from the airport would be a problem.
