Niagara Fine Dining

We would like to have a very nice dinner while in Niagara Falls that overlooks the fireworks and lit up falls. We will do some touristy things during the day on U.S. side, then cros the border and check into our B&B in Niagara-on-the-Lake (Canada). A couple of questions:
1) Are there fireworks on Wed, July 9? I saw on one site there are fireworks on Wednesdays but another site that says the dates but does not list the 9th.
2) Which of these would offer the best combination of good food and view of the lit up falls and firworks: 17 Noir (Canada), Skylon Tower (Canada), or The Watermark?
*I will be making a reservation.

Chris, If you are in Niagara on the lake. that is quite a far distance from Niagara Falls where the fireworks take place. I don't know if they take place on your dates on Wednesdays, but if they do, it is in Niagara Falls at 10:00pm. A great place to be at that time would be the Keg Restaurant in the Embassy Suites in Niagara Falls at a window seat. Skylon ower would probably also be good, but we have never been there.

This is on the NiagaraParks web site:

Come to Queen Victoria Park to the Illumination Stage across from the Falls for FREE Coca-Cola Concerts at 8:00 p.m. followed by Pizza Pizza Fireworks at 10:00 p.m.

Every Friday, Sunday and Holiday: May 16 - August 31.

Holidays:

Victoria Day, May 19
Memorial Day, May 26
Canada Day, July 1
Independence Day, July 4
Civic Holiday, August 4

PLUS BONUS SHOWS (fireworks only): Every Wednesday in July & August and every Friday from September 5 - October 10, 2008.

Note: All these dates and times are approximate and subject to change. Fireworks displays are weather permitting.

A great place to view the fireworks is from the observation deck of the Minolta Tower. You have to get there early for a spot right by the windows.

What about Edgewaters right across the street from the Falls? It is outside dining with a fantastic view of the Falls. I think the food is pretty good.

When you are in Niagara-on-the-Lake, be sure to have dinner at the Prince of Wales Hotel.

In NOTL I would also look into eating at the Shaw Club Hotel.

-Thanks for the website info about the fireworks. I wanted to be sure that I wasn't imagining seeing that somewhere. Looks like the fireworks and show will be part of the dessert course!
-Unfortunately we are only in Niagara for the one night, we shaved on the second to spend more time in the Adirondaks later in the trip.
-I'll definitely look into Edgewaters and The Keg.

Any other suggestions are greatly appreciated!
