Niagara Falls/Buffalo Outlet Mall lodgings

Hi there.
I'm going to be in the Buffalo/Niagara Falls area for one night next month and I thought I'd visit the Outlet Mall. Does anyone know of a decent, clean hotel in that area. Something like a Quality Inn would suit just fine.
Thanks
gtg

I believe there are only motels in close proximity to the Outlet Mall. There are plenty of hotel choices in Niagara Falls USA which would be closer to the Mall than Buffalo. Are you coming to the area just to go to the Mall? Yes, stay in Niagara Falls, otherwise I would stay in Buffalo.

Goddess... since you are a Goddess, consider the Seneca Niagara Casino for a luxury getaway for around $100 -$150 per night...

There is a new Holiday Inn Express right near the Airport and a short distance from the Outlet Mall, but the rates are similar to the Casino... 10111 Niagara Falls Boulevard

Most of the other motels in the area are old and worn... I wouldn't put my MIL in there..

Hmm, that's what I was afraid of. We're actually going to Niagara Falls here in Canada to have our Nexus card interviews and I thought that since we'd be so close to the border and since it was going to be a Friday, we might as well make a little overnight holiday of it. Normally we'd stay at one of the nice hotels on the Canadian side but if I want to do some shopping, I have to stay in the US overnight. It's not a must and I can do without but I haven't been to the Outlet Mall in decades so I thought I might give it a try.

gary, neither one of us is that interested in gambling and besides, we recently stayed at a big casino hotel in Scottsdale so I've sort of still got the ringing of that casino in my ears. That said, if I can't find anything else decent and cheaper, I'd consider the Seneca.

Kathy, can you think of any decent places for me in NF, US?

I have never stayed in any hotels in Niagara Falls, but I have heard good things about a new boutique luxury hotel, The Giacomo, wwwthegiacomo.com. It gets great reviews and the rates range from $180 to $250. Most of the chains have hotels in NF, incuding Holiday Inn, Hampton Inn and Comfort Inn.

By the way, if you haven't been to the Outlet Mall in decades you will find it much improved with many new stores.

Thanks, Kathy. The Giacomo looks great but it's more than we want to spend. I'm going to check out the chains.

Thanks to you too, tom. Yes, that's a good list and an interesting website -- I've never seen it before.

And I've already advised Fodor's of the advertising post above.
