New York's Little Italy Rest. question...

The last time we were in NY (Nov) we ate at Da Nico's on Mulberry. It was great. I truly loved it. We are returning ia a couple weeks. I was wondering what other Little Italy restaurants are good or should we stick with Da Nico's?? Thank you!

Stick with what you like. Little Italy, in general, is not the best italian in NYC but DaNico's is good.

Il Cortile is top notch on Mulberry Street.

I also agree with Frank. The food and service at IL Cortile was very good. Of course, you can't really go wrong with just about any restaurant on Mulberry St.

LuvNYC; Here is a link to a map of the restaurants in Little Italy. IL Cortile is about 2 blocks from Da Nico's.

Il Cortile is one of the prettier places on Mulberry but also more expensive than Da Nico. Il Palazzo is another choice priced in between the other two with a higher food rating than both according to Zagats.

I don't know -- maybe my standards are different from others on this board, but I live near Little Italy and find most of the restaurants really sub-par. Da Nico is about as good as it gets. Il Cortile, to me, is overrated. I think you'll be disappointed.

The truth is, there is far better Italian food to be had in Manhattan outside of Little Italy.
