New York City Trip Report
HI!
I just want to thank everyone who answered all my questions about NYC. We just got back last night from a 6 day trip. WOW...what a great city!! We had a wonderful time..everyone was really friendly and helpful...We covered alot of territory: Walked the Brooklyn Bridge, Went to the observatory at the Empire state building at night, bartered for a fake bag on canal street, ate at Lombardis and Katz Deli ( Delicious)Hung out at Cafe Dante in the Village, Walked EVERYWHERE!, Tried a really cool little place in SoHo called Rice to Riches ( served like 15 varieties of rice pudding), Did the touristy things, ie times square, statue of liberty, wall street. There are tons of other things we did and we really had a blast!!! I know we will be back soon...

We stayed at the Red Roof Inn on 32nd and Broadway....and to be honest, it was perfect...room was decent size, our view was of the Empire State building..we had a free continental breakfast..and the place was CLEAN!..

HI Scarlett,
Well, the fake bag i bartered for was a Kate Spade hand bag...it was great! canal street reminded me of the old maxwell street here in chicago...As for neighborhoods, the question is..where DIDNT we go...my favorite had to be SoHo..we hung out there the most...we actually ate at Canteen, the restuarant under the Prada store...great food!Best part of NYC..Hmm..i think the whole vibe and energy of the city...its like Chicago, but times 10! I loved all the street vendors and push carts...Lombardis pizza was also GREAT...my boyfriend and I felt pretty safe...
